What is a Phlebotomist?

Phlebotomy is the name for drawing blood, derived from the greek word “Phlebo-” meaning pertaining to a blood vessel and “-tomia” meaning cutting off. A person that draws blood is called a phlebotomist, and the actual procedure associated with phlebotomy is called venipuncture. Looking for an accreddited phlebotomy training program?
