Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I)

We offer phlebotomy classes to fit your schedule including weekday, evening and weekend phlebotomy training classes to help you obtain your Certified Phlebotomy Technician I (CPT I) certificate. Our training programs for the phlebotomy certification is fast paced and comprehensive with small class sizes typically between 10 and 16 students.

Successful completion of phlebotomy class will get you nationally certified and make you eligible to apply for a state license with the California Department of Public Health – Division of Laboratory Field Services.

Which Course Is Right For Me?

Didactic & Practical Training

Our full course includes 20 hours of basic phlebotomy didactic (theory), 20 hours of advanced phlebotomy didactic and 40-60 hours of hands on classroom phlebotomy training under close observation from one of our experienced and licensed CPT I instructors. Students will also take the National Phlebotomy Certification Examination which is held at our facility.

Clinical Externship

Upon successful completion of the classroom portion of our course, students will be scheduled for a 40-120 hour clinical externship at one of our affiliated hospitals or clinics. Clinical externships typically consists of 8 hour shifts, Monday – Friday, during normal business hours like 8 AM to 5 PM.

CPT I Abbreviated Class

We tailor abbreviated courses for students based on previous venipuncture experience. Both courses include didactic training and the NCCT National Phlebotomy Exam.

Advanced Phlebotomy Course: 1040+ hours of experience
Basic & Advanced Abbreviated Course: 40 hours of experience to 1040 hours of experience

Weekend Phlebotomy Training

Are you working full time or cannot attend our morning weekday classes? We offer weekend phlebotomy training in 9-week formats on Saturday and Sunday morning. Contact us about Saturday phlebotomy classes and we will be happy to add you to our upcoming interest list for weekend phlebotomy classes.
